Lavender has been commonly used for centuries to provide rest and calm, and a feeling of tranquility as it soothes the nerves. It is a powerful remedial herb which has been used medicinally for numerous issues, including migraines and tension relief, and an abundance of other therapeutic qualities.
There has not been a night in our home when our pillows have not been delicately scented with this wonderful fresh fragrant herb, and its promise of sweet dreams and Peace. (If you make a wish while it's under your pillow, your dream will tell you if your wish will be granted). It travels with us wherever we go.
It has been said that if one wants to communicate with the fairies, or cast a spell of love, this herb associated with the Queen of Enchantment, the goddess Hecate, is the one to have on hand. Folklore wielded a protection against cruelty with the wearing a sprig of lavender as a talisman.
One day, out in the bright sunshine, I captured a sprig of lavender in a small, cobalt bottle .... and then highlighted some of its gentle magic and charming attributes :)
