Description
Blessing is an attitude toward all life, transcending and moving beyond words.
~ Madeleine L'Engle [fr. The Irrational Season]

Lily
Lilium candidum
The white Easter lily, the Madonna lily, is associated with the Virgin Mary. It is popular at Easter time as the Christian symbol of Purity, carried by the Angel Gabriel who appeared to Mary at the Anunciation. But this lily has been cultivated for over 3,000 years - Pompeii excavations have revealed frescoes of gardens with lilies --
and is rich with folklore from several countries.

Whatever one's spiritual belief, Easter is a good time to count one's blessings, to consider the treasures in one's life that often are ignored yet make one's life on this planet worthwhile. Sometimes it is just a smile from a stranger, or a ray of sunshine poking through a cloud, or a door being held open that can make a difference to uplift us.
Captured in natural light; uncropped; light adjusted for the shadow .... Nature in all its splendour :)
