Family : Sunflower (Compositae)
This flower doesn't look at all like the tall yellow blooms of the sunflower, but it is actually indigenous to Mexico and a member of the sunflower family. It is now naturalized through much of the United States and Canada, as well as Sough America and through to South Africa.
This flower, with is delicate corrugated petals, is a symbol of daintiness.
