Congrats, Connie! This photo has been featured on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites group on FAA/Pixels. I love that you shot portrait to maintain that sense of height.
Connie Handscomb replied:
Thank you so much, Nisah! The structure is so wonderfully imposing, the portrait seemed the only way to go ... I'm pleased you like it! Have a Sunny day your way; rains have finally stopped here .. we've skipped spring this year, & have moved straight into early summer :))
Ira Shander
Love the composition and light. Although the stone is grey as I remember it, you created art through your imaginative touch.
Connie Handscomb replied:
Good Morning, Ira! Thank you so much for a look into a few places in my portfolio, from what I am seeing! Kind of you; I'm enormously grateful! This was one of the initial images I posted onto this site, & at that time, I wasn't doing much with them before uploading. As it was, the first group I submitted this to permitted no creative adjustments anyway. The setting sun provided a striking golden glow on the Portland stone of the structure, highlighting the amber of its dirty sand colour. I will that add in now, along with it being a UNESCO world heritage site; I didn't provide much in descriptions in those days either! Thanks again, & a most lovely weekend to you, Ira! :))
