The sun seems fascinated to get closer to this paradise landscape ....

Doc Martin has always been a favorite series of mine, and once I found out where the shows were filmed, it was immediately on my bucket list. And once there, It did not disappoint.
The Cornish coast of Britain is spectacular, and this little harbour town wedged between steep cliff walls with its pure, bright aquamarine water is one of this area's many treasures. The cottages splashed along the hillsides and down into (and throughout) the town centre are primarily of granite, slate and whitewashed, and add a quaint village character to the coastal scene. The centre itself dates back to the 16th century. The fishing village itself dates back to the 14th century, and up until the 19th century, it was an important port for the country.
The crab and lobster trade is prominent here, and the boats captured on the water in this image are not just for pleasure - these are working boats, too.
Port Isaac has some of the narrowest streets in England; walking is a preferred mode of transportation into the village proper.
This particular picturesque scene was taken from atop the opposite hillside, outside the door of Doc Martin's surgery (yes, it does really exist - while the story is fictional, the cottage is not) . And yes, the water really is this heavenly turquoise hue.

Thank you,Cheryl! It was the aquamarine waters that initially captured my attention in this picturesque gem of a place; if you've never been ... you might want to add it to your bucket list :))
