This happy, friendly member of the sunflower family loves sun and warmth. This evergreen shrub originating from South Africa is popular where I live because it doesn't mind salty ocean air.

It has been raining for several days now, with unseasonably cool temperatures, and this is a plant I'm always delighted to see at any time, but especially now - it emanates such warmth and joy. Captured in natural light; unedited; uncropped ... nature in all its splendour.
