There is much in Cuba that takes one back to an earlier time, such as many of the cars you see which are primarily vintage American 1950's,some 1940's .. the majority of which still have their original parts. They are kept in pristine working order and, if a part is unavailable, an alternate mechanism is utilized to keep the auto in running order.
This image was captured in Havana. While I basically have no definitive interest in cars (nor do I know much about them - models, styles, etc. ) , the variety of colourful automobiles in Havana and their lively contribution to the enhancement of the vitality of the city kept my camera occupied. We are looking down into the vehicle because it was captured from our hotel balcony at the Parq Central .
I played with textures for the background, and developed a scene that looks like a graphic design sketch fresh from an auto designer's draughts table .... or so I imagined :)

I wanted to stay with the macros, but this is such an intriguing image. The work surrounding the car is fantastic. And I love cars too, so a win-win for me. I've seen a lot of images of these cars in Cuba. If I was there, I know what images I would be coming back with. I've seen that hood ornament many times. I may need to look it up. Excellent work Connie. L/F
Connie Handscomb replied:
Well now, you see, Glenn …… examining the hood ornament just never occurred to me ; sounds like you’re going to have to mosey on over to Cuba for a spell …… then we’ll see what you come back with {& I’ll be looking out for hood ornaments — cause now I know better} 🙃 Thank You so very much for your wonderful comments; I always appreciate your visits ;))

Might could be a 1954 Ford convertible, Connie. My father once owned a 1954 Lincoln Convertible some 50 plus years ago. Very nostalgic looking ride here!....Fav / like
Connie Handscomb replied:
OK, then .. that helps, Jerry; you've just provided me with another tag description, thank you for that ... & for your support of my efforts; always grateful :))
