Description
Soon o'er their heads blithe April airs shall sing,
A thousand wild flowers round them shall unfold....
~ J. Keble

Fritillaria is found in shades of burgundy or white in open meadows or woods. It is springtime, and this wildflower (apparently rare for these parts) is showing itself in abundance in our local parks at the moment. All that I have seen, and captured, have been in shaded areas, sheltered from winds and bright sun.
Here, next to some large clusters of blue forget-me-nots, my original image with digital paintwork applied ........ nature in all its woodlands splendour :)
