Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier.

The rose originated in Persia, and comes from one of the oldest known perennial shrubs. There are 10,000+ worldwide.
The white rose is the oldest rose, and in Arabic legend, all roses were originally white.
During the 20th Century, the white rose has been a symbol of peace.

Hope: sometimes it is only a glimmer; sometimes it is a full-blown realization that the Future holds Possibilities. And it is those Possibilities that sustain us - they represent what we most hope for.
At year's end, our household had two serious surgeries to deal with (and a third that is yet to come) in combination with a series of some other unfortunate mishaps. This ethereal rose brought to mind the pleasant memories of the year past, as well as a faith in the future that hardships do pass. Bitter as the realities of Life might sometimes be, if we can notice - if only for a moment - the beauty of the world that surrounds us, that moment might just be enough to sustain us through a hardship, onto a smoother leg of our Life's journey.
The white rose is a symbol of eternal love .... of innocence and purity; of reverence and humility. In these things, believe, because just like the Future, they all signify Hope.
