Description
It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want—oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
~ Mark Twain

Just a few minutes from home, we arrive at a scenic village called Horseshoe Bay. This is a small neighborhood in West Vancouver of about 1,000 residents.
We like to come here every now and again for an ice cream on the main street, or to have a meal at one of the eateries, and to stroll along the pier at the marina. A main ferry terminal is here for travel to Vancouver Island, and another enjoyment is watching the ferries come and go.
Every season has its own flavour. We had a great deal of rain this spring, as the somber clouds here indicate, and the season was slow to start. Yet, nature knows what to do, and the buds on the trees show new growth nevertheless. We were probably more eager for those buds to open up in their entirety than they were!
The marina in this image is popular with both the locals and tourists who can rent out boats for the day.
Horseshoe Bay is at Mile Zero on the popular Sea to Sky highway corridor to the world class ski resort of Whistler.
