Yes, this is Burano - an island in Northern Italy, a short distance from Venice - of brightly coloured houses, fish, lacemaking and artists ... and good food.
While the colours may seem haphazard to some, there is actually a system in place and apparently a request must be put to the government for approval when a house is to be painted.

European colors are so distinctive compared with our fair, Connie...what doesn't fly here soars over there! They don't appear to have satellite TV either and that could be a good thing! Excellent capture! FAV

I think they do have the satellite in some places, Jerry .. although they don't glue onto television as we tend to this side of the water ; perhaps its because are more mature than we are {older by centuries!} :)))
