Description
A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer.

Brugge (Dutch; or Bruges in French) is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the north-west of Belgium. In medieval times, the city was a commercial metropolis in the heart of Europe, as well as a hub for prominent artists of the day, such as Jan van Eyck.
A city of winding canals, and meandering ancient cobbled streets, this historic UNESCO site's main market square has a unique, cookie-cutter brick architecture that is but one picturesque draw to this marvelous city. The stepped gables were built to allow easy access to the roof.
Today, amongst other things, this city is a famous tourist metropolis -- note this summertime weekend sight of a portion of the main market square, busy with visitors regardless of the weather.

I was in Brugge 3 years ago , I was so charmed by it , the down-to-earth people , the architecture , serene canals, the overall mood . The city stole a piece of my heart. Connie , your work & personality have consistently shined , I hope one day we get to meet . L/F

...another winner Connie. Years ago, I got really lost in Bruges (the inner city) -- was slightly attacked by those huge white ducks, but hey, it was all wonderful. l/f
Connie Handscomb replied:
Haha! .... oh ... ; never mind, looks like you made it through ok. And now you know your way around {pretty much}, & you won't get tangled up with the ducks any more ; thank you so much for visiting my corner of Brugges, Bill;))
