Description
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science.
~ Albert Einstein [fr. The World As I See It]

I knew it before, and now cannot remember what these beautiful - very small - blooms are called. They grew profusely on a small shrub, or what seemed to be a shrub, in a small park near the ocean. The bees loved it, and seemed to have great feasts there.
No more, however; the next season when I returned to where this shrubbery had grown, I found it had been chopped down ... gone. (Too much of this has been happening the last few years in our small city; it is so sad. The biodiversity has dwindled enormously. My Before and After pictures are revealing. And sad. The flowering shrubs and wildflowers are being removed, with often nothing replacing it. Or, if a replacement is done, it is often just grass. Just recently, a hillside near the seawalk with bluebells and daffodils in bloom was wiped out; before the wildflowers, there had been rose bushes.) The bees will go hungry in this corner now ... and on the hillside, too :(
This macro image was taken in natural light ; unaltered; uncropped; : Nature in all its splendour.

I like the way you've done this. Very nice.
Connie Handscomb replied:
Thank you, Darrell ; the Parks people here had chopped it down! .. I was saddened, it was quite lush & the bees love it ; was happy to see a few days ago it's making a comeback - tiny little shoots :)))
