In the City of Burnaby, a suburb of Vancouver, is the Burnaby Village Museum. Here, on a 10-acre site, an open-air museum - an entire period village - has been recreated allowing one to stroll along, envisioning the life of an earlier time. Costumed 1920's townsfolk greet all at homes, shops, and businesses: the blacksmith, the print shop, the farmhouse, the general store, the ice cream parlour, the schoolhouse, and more. There are carousel rides on a 1912 CW Parker, with music from a 1925 Wurlitzer band organ.
Some vintage light and texture was added to this image taken in a small house on a side street in the village, a table set in the small, cozy kitchen, ready for a simple, refreshing tea for two.

I really like the concept behind this piece. I can almost smell the country air and woodwork.
