Trees are your best antiques.

About an hour's drive and a bit along the TransCanada Highway to the east from West Vancouver, one will arrive at a pretty, quaint, historic village called Fort Langley. This was an important former trading post of the Hudson's Bay Company (Fort Langley is named after the director of the HBC, Thomas Langley).
In the days when I was collecting antiques by the carload - a phase which had to stop, as there was no more room in our home! - this was a popular destination for me. The village's old restored buildings boast several popular destinations for these collectibles.
Looking towards the mountains across from the Fraser River on a clear spring day, some striking lime-green leaves from a huge tree became an attraction for me. I captured its bright, fresh foliage spreading itself casually across the blissful blue sky.
My original image painted digitally .. .nature in all its artistic splendour :)

Connie, the alluring freshness and sense of motion takes me back to childhood, lying in the grass, watching the branches and leaves gently swaying and fluttering in the spring breeze. Outstanding image and treatment! LF
