I don't believe in picking wildflowers; I prefer that they bloom through to the end and spread their precious seeds so they might continue to proliferate naturally as intended.
So, here I am now letting you know that I did pick a couple of sprigs! We have some wildflowers growing in the back, and I wanted my colourful bottle to capture some of their freshness before they faded into oblivion ...... so that I might post them here .... Nature ... in all its spontaneous artistic spendour :)
I photographed my cobalt bottle with its treasure of flowers - two sprigs of California poppies ... some bluebells ... then merged two images to create a cluster of blooms ...which I then painted digitally.
