Description
I'm not afraid of storms, for I'm learning how to sail my ship.

Brighton is a popular seaside destination in the South Downs of England. Along the waterfront, one cannot miss seeing the iconic landmark Victorian pier which opened in 1899 as the Palace Pier at a record building cost of 27,000. It was one of the last piers to be built in England.
The pier replaced the first Brighton pier on this site (built in 1823J) which primarily landed passengers traveling from France to holiday coastal resorts in England.
This Victorian pier offers fairground attractions, a fun arcade, restaurants, and shops: the first amusement machines were installed in 1905, and have popular ever since. The pier is long: 524 metres (1,719 ft).
It was renamed the Brighton Pier in the year 2000.

The clouds in this area have great character. There are sunny, blue sky days to be sure , yet when the atmosphere of the heavens above shows its moodiness, one can't help but take notice. Rainfall in England in fairly constant, whether it be drizzles or storms. It is what keeps the English countryside its wonderful green. In Brighton, there might not necessarily be snow in the wintertime, but there will be a few temper tantrums from above.
