Zurich was founded by the Romans about 2,000 years ago. It is Switzerland's largest city, a major a major hub for railways, roads, and airlines.
An international centre of banking and industry, Zurich is one of the world's oldest gold markets, with its stock exchange being one of the most important in the world. While my choice was to do this image in a darker monochrome, it is actually a city bright with colour and alive with bustling activity.
And yet, even with the bustle, one does not feel pressured to move quickly: strolling along the cobblestone streets and along the fresh, aquamarine river Limmat running through its centre provides a unique, relaxing charm all its own. And a myriad restaurants and bistros along the way provide an abundance of opportunities to sit down and relax.
This is but one of a few bridges crossing over the river below ... so clean, in the summertime one can see those locals brave enough to handle its cold waters having a swim in it.

Beautiful golden nostalgia, with a good lead in by the armrest...or fence (what's that name....lol)..

You know, I'm not sure, Michel ... how can that be...Lol... But I know what you mean .. that balustrade thingie that curves along .. ; there are many colour images of this bridge, tourists...
