Puff pastry came to mind when my eyes set themselves upon this image. The French use the words mille-feuille to describe a wonderful, layered, flaky dessert pastry (a Napoleon custard pastry slice is an example); the words mille-feuille translate to mean A Thousand Leaves.
Here, in perfect harmony with each other, I think we are viewing a thousand petals :)
This rose was captured in Natural Light .. Undedited; Uncropped, : Nature in all its natural splendour.
