Artist's Description
This scene is located on the Greek island of Corfu, on the road north of Corfu Town en route to the to the old port village of Kassiopi. This road has an ancient history of Corinthians, Romans, and Venetians bustling through on it, unlike the quietude it experiences now.
Corfu is the most northern of the Ionian Islands off the mainland of Greece. North to south, the island is about 60 km.
The stratification of varying blues of ocean water is amazing, and one never tires of looking at it, relaxing into its tranquility.

The multi-hued blues of slate, teal, ultramarine and choppy waters make for a gorgeous seascape. Love the depth that the distant mountains and atmosphere create. I keep learning about what I'm taking images of, Jerry! I didn't know about Kos being in the 'Illiad' .. ; I get some history lessons, botanical lessons, & more here! Indeed, the waters are layers of varying blues .. I did my best to capture {I think I need to go back & get more practice .. & more yummy Greek food!} ;))) {& back to Hawaii, too!}
