Artist's Description
When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking.
~ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Wallis is in southwest Switzerland, at the foot of the Swiss Alps. The canton is both French and German speaking: the German name is Wallis; and in French it is called Valais ( the valley).
We enjoyed a delicous lunch in this picturesque village, before making our way up the gondola to the great Aletsch Glacier. Outside the restaurant, amongst the alpine flowers, was a bright and cheery yellow bicycle. My camera with me .... clicking the shutter just had to be. :)
Captured on the Alpine mountaintop on a bright summer's day .... my original image ... painted digitally.
