Description
Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.

This beautiful stonework is found in Boscastle, in Cornwall, on the English {Cornish} coast. I added a touch of colour to the magnificent bushes dripping fuschia blossoms.

Boscastle is a village on the Cornwall Coast about 5 miles from Tintagel, the home of the legendary King Arthur. It is one of the few remaining medieval harbour villages in Cornwall. The National Trust designated it an area of 'outstanding natural beauty' and now has it in its care.
The name of the village is derived from a 12th century fortress. A stone wall runs along the harbour to protect the village. It was built by Sir Richard Grenville in 1584. Many of the buildings date back to the 17-and 1800's; any that were damaged by the famous flood of 2004 were rebuilt to maintain the quaint rock/slate structures of old.
